Security Product Concept
User Experience Project
Secure accounts start with strong, unique passwords. In this digital age where users have many accounts, this is often unrealistic without a password manager. It seems that even password managers have vulnerabilities and can be breached.
This is a project concept for a password manager that uses cutting-edge technologies to makes managing passwords easy and secure. The project was completed over a 2 week sprint to build skills in rapid prototyping.

Problem
In the past six months, have you forgotten a password?
We asked this question to 40 people in an independent survey. 87.5% indicated that they have, and reported annoyance and inconvenience at the process of resetting forgotten passwords.

Market Opportunity
The average person has 100 passwords
Secure passwords contain at least 12 characters
80% of passwords are considered unsecured
Each day 6.85 million accounts are hacked

Average Password Length

Solution
How might we design a password management product that is secure, accessible to all user accounts across devices, and is convenient to use?

- Connect via Bluetooth to any device
- Store passwords locally with Cloud backup
- Biometric Authentication for fast, secure access
- Locate Fob with GPS or speaker
Use Cases
User Login
When the user is presented with login information, the Bluetooth connected Fob will be notified. Once the user authenticates with their fingerprint, the Fob transmits the login information.

Security Score
The Fob application analyzes all stored passwords and assigns a score of strong, medium, and weak. Users can easily identify weak passwords and create edit them to be more secure.

Manage Passwords
The Fob application provides a birds-eye view of all accounts to allow the user to monitor login information, devices that were used to login, as well as an overview of the password security score.

Locate Fob
When the user is unable to locate their Fob, they can search its location using GPS or ping the Fobs speaker.

Lock Account
In the event the Fob is lost, the user has the ability to lock their account.

Project Parameters
This project was conducted over a 2 week period to quickly define the problem and prototype a solution and present a product pitch to stakeholders.
Fun Fact The hook for this presentation pitch was to be unable to log into the presentation due to wrong password credentials!
